Last week, for the first time, an AI decided a person should lose their job — a shop manager called Luna that had, tellingly, forgotten its own rules for months and had to be reminded it had them. In this segment we look forward, calmly, at what it means when being judged at work stops passing through another human’s conscience, why the real risk is an unreliable machine boss rather than a cruel one, and why keeping a person genuinely accountable — not just rubber-stamping — is the fight worth having before “efficient” becomes “automatic.”
